*The Scholastic Warehouse sale is a bi-yearly sale that occurs (quite obviously) at the warehouses of Scholastic across the country. The books are sold at half price or more the face value of the book and these sales are open to teachers, librarians, and other school volunteers…on a personal note, I’ve been going for years.*
So last week I went back to the Scholastic Warehouse, where I had volunteered at the end of November, to use my vouchers that I had earned while volunteering. While volunteering you earn $20 in book vouchers per hour and I worked 17 hours so I got $340 in vouchers, and as you can tell by the title of this haul…I went overboard and got 52 books. For the non-volunteers the books are discounted but as a volunteer we must pay the full sticker price (however they are free from the vouchers so it all works out).
Anyways, once I got to the sale the first section I came upon before going directly in to the warehouse was the $25 a box section. Basically, you try to fit as many books as you can in one box and the whole thing is only $25! Usually, I pass these sections up at the book sales because they books aren’t very good but this time there was a few titles that I decided to grab. I ended up filling up a whole box so here’s what I got in that one:
After I went a little crazy I went through there warehouse and had to contain myself. There was so many good deals! I went a little overboard and had to put some back, but here are the one’s I ended up getting:
