Day 13: Your Review Process
(Do you write your review the second you finish the book? Months later? Take notes as you read?)
I typically try to write a review as soon as I’ve finished the novel, unless I need time to rethink about the book and gather my thoughts. Usually though I have a mental checklist of things I want to talk about and tick those off as I write my review (sometimes I get really excited if the book is really good and kind of just word vomit in the review).
Props to the people who are able to write reviews months later though…not sure how you guys do it.
I don’t take notes just because I don’t want to put the book down long enough to write something on the side about it. I figure if it’s important enough I’ll remember it, and if not, then it’s not worth mentioning in a review anyways. Though, I do know note taking helps a lot of people so, again, kudos to you!
