I’ve been gone a really long time. Sorry! Things got kind of carried away when I started working at Disneyland and I didn’t feel motivated to read or blog or vlog, or basically create any creative content for a long time. Disney was such a fun place to work, and I really enjoyed the experience, but it also left me really drained sometimes. Guests were…not always the friendliest. I do miss it though. And Michael most of all (which by the way, if you’re reading this Michael, hi!)
But things have changed and there are so many new things on the horizon!
First and foremost, I’m finally living in London! I moved here in the middle of September to begin my master’s degree in Creative Writing and it’s already been so exciting and wonderful! There’s a really good group of people in my program and the classes have been easier than expected (thus far…).
Don’t get me wrong, it’s also been one hell of an adjustment to go from LA to London (time zones, everyone drives on the wrong side of the road, the tube, the weather, outlets and voltage, etc. etc.) Rest assured though, after having been here just under three weeks, I’m finally settling into things and I’ve been making the most of this experience.
I had the really great privilege of showing my parents around my new hometown when they flew out with me to help move me into my flat. Thankfully, they really enjoyed seeing all the sights and it was fun to play tour guide with them for about a week and a half! We hit up all my favorite places like St. Paul’s, the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), Buckingham Palace, and more!
Now school is in full swing though, and I’ve started homework, writing, reading, and more! I’ve also gone out exploring every weekend, and trying to get myself familiar with the shops, restaurants, and basically everything else located around me, school, and of course visiting my favorite sights.
Anyway, if you have any questions about London and need them answered, drop me a line below, I’d be happy to help you out! Or if you have any suggestions of places I should definitely check out during the next year, also let me know! I’m always looking for new places to explore!
And yes, I’ve been reading! I took a huge step back from blogging because I felt really drained creatively, but I’m slowly getting back into reading for myself again, and I’ll possibly start pushing out some new creative content soon. I’ve missed this, to be honest. Missed chatting with all of you! So, right now I’m currently reading I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, and just recently finished the Wrath and the Dawn duology by Reneé Ahdieh (which was fantastic)!
Anyway, let me know what you’ve been reading lately, or what you’re most excited to read next! I’d love to add some stuff to my TBR since I’ve been so out of it lately. And as always you can follow all my adventures on Instagram and Twitter!
It’s great to hear from you and to see what you’ve been up to. I missed your posts, your smiling face, and your book recs. I love the Wrath and the Dawn duology too, btw. Congrats on the big move & good luck with school.
Aw thank you Kai! It’s good to be back for sure!
Girl, GET IT! I’m so proud of you for the big changes in your life that you’re handling with SUCH grace! I’m excited to keep up with your adventures and the books you read. I wish you the best of luck in school.
