July Rewind

Well, July came and went in the blink of an eye didn’t it?

Answer: Yes. It did.

What I Read

Unfortunately I only read three books. THREE. Technically four if you count my reread of A Court of Mist and Fury for my senior thesis. I also read, Furthermore and gave it 2/5 stars (you can read more on that here). I also finished the 6th installment of Saga and gave it 5/5 stars (obviously).

What I Did

I started a Tumblr exclusively for my book pics and for reblogging other lovely people’s bookish pictures! You can give that a follow here if you want. I also started a booktube channel and am working on building it up and getting more videos out for y’all. If you have any suggestions, definitely leave me on in the comments!

Additionally, I made a discussion post about age “limits” in YA and what that means for the community, which you can check out here!

Plans for August

I hope to read at least five books this month. With my internship coming to an end I think that may be feasible and I’m itching to finish some of the books that have been sitting on my TBR for quite some time. Here’s a sampling of what I hope to read:

Anything Else?

I’m still hosting TWO giveaways! You get extra entries if you follow me on Instagram AND Twitter, but you can snag a copy of Furthermore and an entire sealed boxed set of Harry Potter. Which, let me just say, is so gorgeous. I have one of my own and it makes for awesome pictures and bragging rights. Unfortunately, both giveaways are for the US only.

Also, someone (who could it be????) started a positive bookish anonymous Twitter account in the midst of all the drama last week. Make sure to submit your positive opinions or give a shoutout to your bookish besties and favorite authors!

What did you read/do this month? Leave links as per usual!

  2. I’ve been terrible at commenting lately, but I swear I’ve been reading your posts! Your site looks great! You and your sister did a great job!
